Two workshop tracks will take place on the conference day one and two more will take place on the next day. Are you interested in taking part in the workshops? If you are then this post will be super helpful for you. We’re going to discuss the WordCamp Europe workshops, how you can register, workshop prerequisites, and much more. So let’s get started.
WordCamp Europe 2023 workshop information
So this year’s WCEU is coming up and we’re super excited. (As you all know, WPGIZ is a media partner of WCEU this year.) Some of these workshops have prerequisites that you need to meet in order to register and attend the workshops.
Before you register, make sure that you meet these prerequisites. These prerequisites are mostly tools and software. If you’re having difficulty in meeting the prerequisites but still want to participate in the workshops, you can receive help from the WCEU workshop team but you’ll have to arrive at least 2 hours before the workshops starts.
Each workshop will have a limited number of seats. Following are the number of seats available for each workshop:
- Workshop track 1 – 100 seats
- Workshop track 2 – 70 seats
WCEU attendees may sign up for maximum 3 workshops to allow as many people as possible from the community.
How to register for WCEU workshop
WCEU workshop registration will be open from 14:00 on Contributor Day (June 8, 2023) and will continue till the start of the workshops. The workshop registration will be first-come, first-served basis.
However, there are some prerequisites to the workshops that you should check out before you register. Most of the prerequisites are tools and software. We will discuss the prerequisites later on, first let’s see how you can register for the WCEU workshop.
Step 1: Take a look at the WordCamp schedule and find the workshop that you would like to attend. Remember you can attend a maximum of 3 workshops.
Step 2: Check if you meet the prerequisites of the workshop you’re trying to attend. NOTE: You will be asked to demonstrate that you meet the prerequisites. Mostly you will need to install software and meet other prerequisites several days in advance. If you face difficulties setting things up, then you can receive help from WCEU but you’ll have to arrive at least 2 hours before the workshop.
Step 3: Visit the workshop desk located on -1 floor near Track 3 and Workshop 2. You can visit the desk at any time mentioned below.
- Date: 8 June – 14:00 – 16:00
- Date: 9 June – 09:00 – 18:00
- Date: 10 June – 08:00 – 14:00
However, registration will be closed 15 minutes before the start of the workshops or if the capacity is full.
Step 4: Let the registrar know the workshop you want to attend. If seats are available, you can register.
Step 5: If the workshop you want to attend has any prerequisites, you will be asked to demonstrate that you meet those prerequisites.
Step 6: After you demonstrate that you meet the prerequisites, the registrar will sign you up for the workshop and will hand you a registration ticket for the workshop.
Step 7: Show the ticket to the member of the volunteer team when you arrive at the workshop to get in. You can visit this page for more information.
