LearnDash has some great features which assists you in your course creation. Similarly, the LearnDash AI can give you a huge boost when you’re creating courses using this plugin. Now what are these AI features? That’s what we’re going to check out.

Course creation wizard – Create a course from YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia playlist
The course creation wizard allows you to create an entire course from a YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia playlist. As you all know, you can create a course playlist on YouTube, Vimeo and Wistia. If you want to create a similar course on LearnDash, you can do it easily.
The Course Creation Wizard can help you create the lessons and description of your course. The name of the course, lessons, and the descriptions of the lessons, everything will be created for you. You can imagine how much time this feature saves.
To do this, first navigate to LearnDash > Courses. Here you’ll find a button “Create from Video Playlist”.
After clicking on this button, you’ll have the option to paste in your YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia playlist URL. Now find the URL of the playlist and paste it here, then click on the button beside it. Remember, you have to place the URL of the playlist, not a particular video link.
Initially the button beside the input field will say “Load”. But after you paste the URL, it will change the text according to the platform whose URL you’ve pasted. For example, if we place a YouTube playlist URL, the button will show a YouTube logo and the text will say “Load data from YouTube”.
Once you click on the button, it will take some time, and your course will be created just like that!

Although the course name, lessons, lesson description, etc. will be created automatically, you still have to customize the lesson descriptions, course settings, etc.
AI course outline builder
If you’re struggling on creating a proper course outline for your LearnDash course, the LearnDash AI Course outline builder can be useful. If you navigate to LearnDash > Courses you can find a button on top right corner “Create Course Outline from AI”. This option can be found beside the “Create From Video Playlist” button. Click that to get started.
If you haven’t connected your LearnDash website with OpenAI, then you’ll be prompted to do so. You can click on “Click here” and you’ll be directed to the AI Integration section where you can paste your OpenAI API key. Alternatively you can navigate to LearnDash > Settings and click on the Advanced tab, then click on AI Integration.
Paste your OpenAI API key here to connect your OpenAI account with LearnDash. Now after you do that, go back to the courses section and click on the “Create Course Outline from AI”. Now you’ll see 3 fields. Here you’ll have to provide a course title, number of lessons, and you have to describe your course.
After you do that, a course will be created for you along with all the lessons that you specified. The outline of this course will be as you described your course. So be clear and descriptive when you’re describing your course. Now you have a course outline which you can customize to make your course shine.

LearnDash AI quiz builder
If you have an online course, you should also add quizzes to it. This will be good for the students as they can test their knowledge. This will also allow the instructors to evaluate the student’s progress. But creating multiple quizzes is a time taking process. To solve this, you can use the LearnDash AI quiz builder to help you create those quizzes.
To use LearnDash AI quiz builder, first navigate to LearnDash > Quizzes. On the top right corner you’ll find the “Create Quiz from AI” button. Click on it.
This will take you to another screen where you have to select which course, lesson, and topic your quiz is associated with. You can then select quiz title, quiz type, number of questions you want the AI to create and finally describe your quiz.

AI virtual instructor (experimental)
The virtual instructor is another AI feature from LearnDash where you can provide learners with real-time support using an AI powered instructor. Currently this feature is in it’s experimental stage, so we can’t say much about it. But the idea of a virtual instructor is that you can create a virtual instructor that can support students through live chat.
You can configure the name, avatar, and provide specific instructions for how to answer students questions. It is also possible to ban certain words and return a custom error message. The virtual instructor can be added for all courses and groups. You can also create multiple virtual instructors for multiple courses.
