How to Add Google Forms to a WordPress Website

That’s what we’re going to learn in this tutorial. So let’s get started.

How to add Google Forms in WordPress

Since we will be adding a Google form on a WordPress website, we can assume that you have the following:

• A WordPress website
• A Google account

If you have a Google account, simply log in and find the Google Form app from the app list. You can also visit the direct link.

Let’s say you’ve created a Google form, after you’ve published it, you’ll be able to use that form on your WordPress site. So, make sure that your form is published. Next, click on the 3 dots ⋮ right beside your account image. It is usually located at the upper right corner of the screen. It should expand the menu. From here, find the “< > Embed HTML” option and select it.

This will give you the option to copy the HTML tag. Before you copy the tag, you’ll also have the option to choose the width and height of the form. If you’re not sure what the width and height should be, you can leave it as it is. Next, you have to copy the HTML tag. You can select the tag and copy manually or click on the “Copy” button to copy it.

With the tag copied, now head over to your WordPress website. If you’re not logged into your WordPress admin dashboard, log in, because we have to edit the page where you want to add the Google form.

After logging in to your WordPress dashboard, visit the page where you want to add the form and edit that page. Now, in order to paste the code that we’ve copied, we need a way to add our HTML tag. If you’re using a popular page builder such as Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery, etc. you’ll have access to the Custom HTML block or element.

The following screenshot shows the Custom HTML block that’s found in Gutenberg. If you’re using Gutenberg, add this block to your page and you should find an input box where you can paste in your HTML tag or Google form embed code.

After you’ve pasted the HTML tag that you copied from Google Forms, it should look something like this:

Now simply click on the “Save” button located at the top right corner of the screen. Now view your page and check if the form is ok or not. If you see that your form is placed on the left or right side of the screen, this can be fixed. Again, if you see a vertical scroll bar, that can also be fixed.

To fix the form alignment: If you want to bring your form to the center, edit the page again. Now ensure that your Custom HTML block is within a column block. Then find the Inner Block Justify option and choose center. This should align your form to the center.

If you’re using another page builder, then the process of alignment shouldn’t be difficult either. Just put your form in a row or a column then align the content of the column or row to center.

To remove the vertical scroll: If you want to remove the vertical scroll from the Google form, you can simply increase the height of the form. To do this, you can either change the height from Google Forms and then copy the HTML tag and paste it in the custom HTML block, or you can edit the parameter directly.

To do this, find the “height” property in the HTML code and increase it to something like 1000. Save your changes and view your page. You shouldn’t see the horizontal scroll anymore. However, if you have a large form, you might need to increase the height more than 1000 in order to remove the horizontal scroll from the contact form.

That’s all you need to do to add a Google form on your WordPress website.
