It’s actually really easy to use ChatGPT. To use it, make sure you have the latest version of Tutor LMS installed on your WordPress site. Also, you need Tutor LMS Pro for this. With ChatGPT you can create your courses more efficiently than ever before. To start using ChatGPT follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard go to Tutor LMS Pro > Settings > Advanced tab and scroll down to find ChatGPT option.

  1. ChatGPT will be enabled by default. But if you find it disabled somehow, you can enable it from here.
  2. Click on the blue text “ChatGPT User settings”. This will lead you to the OpenAI login page. If you don’t have an OpenAI account, you can create one from here. But if you already have an account, log in.

  1. After logging in, select the API keys tab and click on the “Create new secret key” button. This will open up a new window where you can name your key and select permission. Select the ‘All’ permission and name the key if you want. Then click on the “Create secret key” button.

  1. Copy this secret key and then go back to your Tutor LMS website. Paste in the API key located in the ChatGPT section from Tutor LMS Pro > Settings > Advanced tab. After that, save changes.
  2. You can also select the position of the ChatGPT bubble. This is however optional. By default the bubble location is bottom right.


Now that we have ChatGPT enabled and connected, let’s see it in action. Let’s say we want a course description for our WordPress beginner course. We can go to Tutor LMS > Courses and create a new course. Then in the course description text box, we can see the ChatGPT bubble at the bottom right corner.

We’re going to click on it and a new window will pop up. Here we can describe what kind of content we want and set a word limit.

Now all we have to do is describe what we want, and set a word limit. Then ChatGPT will generate content for us.

Note: If you’re using the free version of the ChatGPT, the API key is only valid for two months. After this period your API key will expire.
